Joomchi
Joomchi is an age-old Korean method of paper felting which transforms paper into a texture similar to cloth. These pieces are made of a type of mulberry paper known as hanji. The paper is cut, layered, soaked in water and then kneaded for hours, causing adhesion and shrinkage. Sometimes I add hand-stitching or sew them onto a fabric background.
